I have been married to my husband Bill for over 30 years. After attending college in Seattle, we moved back to Bellingham to start a family. We have lived most of our lives together here and feel very lucky to have raised our children in this beautiful place. We've also been fortunate to have had the support of our extended family nearby.

My children, Jack and Fay are the great joy of my life. They are seven years apart giving me familiarity with the struggles and joys of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.
My children have been, and continue to be, my biggest teachers. I realized very quickly with my first born how I wanted to be better for him! He showed me my strengths, what I needed to learn, and who I wanted to be.
My second child helped me see how precious and immediate life is. I learned to enjoy and savor every moment.
I never wanted my life with my children to be a complete blur.
Achieving this has not always been easy, and it remains a constant aspiration in my life.
My work
It is a privilege to be with families during the amazing time of bringing their children into this world. I passionately support parents as they recover, gain strength, get to know their baby, reacquaint themselves with their new bodies, and adjust to becoming parents.
I believe this is a sacred time. As a postpartum doula and parenting educator, I will do my very best to give each mother, father, child, and family member the opportunity to flourish and grow.
"One of the most helpful things, especially in the first few weeks, was all the information about sleeping and breastfeeding issues. Rather than googling things and having my energy sucked into that, we literally had a walking library come to the house :) It was also incredibly helpful to have the opportunity to get a few naps, get out for some walks to spend one on one time with my older babe, and to have the extra help with household things so I never really felt too buried in keeping up the house."
